Overview
A three‑part documentary co‑produced by the Ministry of Public Security and China Media Group, chronicles the arduous process and remarkable achievements of China’s cross‑border crackdown on criminal gangs targeting Chinese citizens in northern Myanmar. The documentary exposes the dark, violent operations inside fraud compounds, where victims were tricked into travelling overseas and subjected to illegal detention, forced labour and abuse. It recounts how Chinese law‑enforcement agencies broke through cross‑border barriers, conducted joint operations with Myanmar, Thailand and other nations, hunted down ringleaders of the notorious “Four Big Families”, and arranged large‑scale repatriation of suspects and rescued victims. The final part illustrates the establishment of an international anti‑fraud alliance involving 46 countries, building a long‑term governance framework to eradicate transnational telecom fraud.
