The Shortest Forever

Overview

Alex leaves for her dream job abroad tomorrow. Before she goes, she and her boyfriend Justin share one final date at her favorite restaurant — an attempt to make the night feel normal. Afterward, parked outside and waiting for her sister to pick her up, the two find themselves with nothing left to do but talk. What starts as a lighthearted trip down memory lane slowly shifts beneath its own weight. Old moments resurface. Certain topics get carefully avoided. Then inevitably, unavoidably, confronted. A ten-minute wait stretches into an eternity as Alex and Justin are quietly forced to reckon with what they're each giving up — and what, if anything, they're willing to say out loud before the headlights pull up.
