Overview

So-ran can hear people’s reputations whenever she makes eye contact with them. Relying on these voices, she judges others and even grows apart from her closest friend. One day, she meets Go-yo, a popular young man whose reputation she cannot hear. Curious, she approaches him and the two grow closer. Soon, So-ran overhears people talking about Go-yo, only to hear rumors about herself instead. Shocked by the malicious comments, she becomes obsessed with others’ opinions and distances herself from Go-yo. But Go-yo reaches out to her, unconcerned with how others see him. Only then does So-ran realize that the voices she hears are not the truth, but the words and rumors that hurt her most. That is why she could never hear anything from Go-yo.
