Overview

Omooge Kampus is a performance art piece that aims to capture the experience of Nigerian university students of queer/LGBTQ+ identities, the duality of anxiety and the defiant joy of radical being. Omooge Kampus as a medium shows what it is like to wrest oneself from the prescriptions of a religion that demonizes you, as well as to interrogate religious trauma, societal marginalization, anothe existence of queerness as spectacle.
