Ask any Pula citizen about the name Širo Dmitrović and they'll guaranteed to know who you're talking about. Over the course of his life, this elderly man's wrinkled face had become one of the defining features of his community. However, behind a benevolent facade lies a dark and tragic past, marked by a nigh fatal mining accident and a yearning for preservation of a craft that's been disappearing from his region more and more every day.
