Swimming in the Light

Overview

As the sun sank, the corridors of the apartment complex and the landscape along the Arakawa River slowly receded into the light. As though their contours were wavering on the surface of the water, the light of dusk gradually dissolved the boundaries between the city, the rooftops, and the sky. Like water is to fish, we were swimming through the light. Swimming through water and walking through the city in the light. By overlapping these two movements, we traced the fleeting moment when the city at dusk slowly began to lose its form.
