Overview

The late 1990s. Best friends Misha and Taya dream of escaping the small coastal town where adults have long since decided what their future should be. The brash Misha falls in love with a new teacher, while the quiet Taya hides the fact that her parents are planning to marry her off to a foreigner to save the family. Their friendship, through betrayal and pain, becomes a pillar of strength: they understand that growing up doesn't mean running away, but rather learning to stand up for yourself, even if it means being hurt by reality.
