Set in Mount Gambier, South Australia, the film follows Lumy, a young girl who witnesses her father’s sacrifice at the edge of the mysterious Blue Lake. Growing up with unhealed trauma and an unexplainable power tied to the water itself, Lumy retreats into science while being quietly hunted by forces she doesn’t fully understand. Years later, she forms a deep connection with a broken but kindred soul, Ashton. Together, they become scientists and uncover a dangerous truth buried beneath the lake one that links Lumy’s existence to a phenomenon capable of reshaping reality. As the past resurfaces and the hunters return, Lumy must confront what her father died to protect. Born In Blue is a story of grief, survival, inheritance, and the cost of love.
