Overview
For the second year running, the anonymous project Xamil Citna provides CineSalon with one of the most truly radical films in its programme: . reconstructs the landscape of Ukraine through audiovisual abstraction, testifying to the 'catastrophe' entirely subsumed within war discourse. is a fiction. The repetition compulsion of counter-representation that reawakens war trauma. Or, the intolerable obscenity of spectacles that remain silent about reality. What alternative is there? Tragically, the 'catastrophe' is inevitable. Nevertheless, the image-scape of Ukraine circulates ineffectually and endlessly.
