Overview

Doe Normaal is a multimedia project that began in January 2024 as an outcome of the Visual Storytelling programme I participated in. The name Doe Normaal is both a critique and a satire of what’s often seen as the most important principle of life in the Netherlands: to “be normal.” This mentality has always bothered me, especially in a country where so many different cultures coexist. Whose version of normal are we expected to follow?
