Overview
Maya Zack reconstructs the fading memory of the body of her mother who died too soon. The film Hitbasrut, based on Zack's own experiences as a mother, depicts a magical-poetic ritual in the chain of intergenerational transmission between daughters and mothers - real and spiritual. Zack attempts to decode the alchemy of remembering and forgetting and to provide an answer to our fear of being forgotten and of our inevitable death.
