Overview

Based in Sacramento, United States, Emily Kachorek refutes the high-strung notions of the traditional cycling world. Her company, Squid Bikes, boasts crazy and wild spray painted bikes with a DIY punk-rock style. In contrast, South African Matthew Sowter’s journey as a frame builder took him all the way to the UK after an exhaustive career as a chef. Sowter believes in powerful minimalism and a pursuit of perfection. This film unveils the Makers’ lives, motivations, and ethos behind their craft.
