Overview

In 2022, Paragraph 219a, which prohibited advertising for the termination of pregnancy, was finally deleted without replacement. Paragraph 218, which makes abortions a punishable offence in Germany, has now been in the penal code for 150 years. In the documentary, 50 people who have had an abortion have their say. They are women, trans and non-binary people who describe the choices they had and the obstacles they faced.
