Since 1959 it has been produced by Austrian television ORF, currently in HD and in co-production with the European Radio-Television Union (EBU-EBU-EUR), which broadcasts it to almost a hundred countries around the world, with an audience average of 50 million viewers and a potential of 1,000 million. The German conductor Henning Kastein takes over the television production of the New Year's Concert for the second time. After the main program, the concert always ends with several encores.
