"Aktuelle Stunde" is an information magazine on WDR television. Here you will find everything that is important, interesting, touching and entertaining for the people of North Rhine-Westphalia on any given day. And that has been the case 365 days a year since January 3, 1983. The only time the program was canceled was on July 28, 2017 due to a power outage.

Aktuellt is a Swedish nightly news programme produced by Sveriges Television and broadcast on its second channel, SVT2 in Sweden. First broadcast on 2 September 1958, Aktuellt was Sweden's first television news programme. With the start of TV 2 in 1969, the Aktuellt brand disappeared but was revived in 1972 when TV1 began airing two main bulletins at 6pm and 9pm. The 6pm bulletin was moved to SVT2 in 1997, followed on 15 January 2001 by the 9pm edition. The year before, editorial responsibility for Aktuellt, Rapport, and SVT's news channel, SVT24, was unified; nevertheless, the name "Aktuellt" continues to be used to designate SVT2's news programmes. A relaunch of Aktuellt in November 2007 saw Rapport begin a 6pm bulletin on SVT1 while the sole 9pm Aktuellt programme relaunched as an in-depth news and current affairs programme, covering two of three main items in detail. On 5 March 2012, the programme was extended to 60 minutes.

Al Bernameg is a popular Egyptian satirical program. The series is hosted by satirical comedian Bassem Youssef on the satellite channel CBC. The press has compared it to The Daily Show hosted by Jon Stewart, which was the inspiration for this show. Youssef visited The Daily Show as a guest in April 2013, while Stewart, on hiatus from his own hosting duties, returned the favor on El Bernameg in June 2013.

Al Jazeera Investigative Unit or I-Unit is the name for journalists from the network’s Investigative Journalism Directorate. Since its formation, the I-Unit’s documentaries have won more than forty awards and over a hundred nominations, including four from Bafta. The I-Unit provides exclusive journalism for Al Jazeera Media Network’s many platforms and its content is translated into multiple languages.

Al Qahera Al Youm is a live television talk show that broadcasts nearly throughout the year from the 6th of October studios located in Cairo. Al Qahera Al-Youm is one of the most popular and influential shows in the Middle East with more than a million viewers world wide. Hosted by the leading Arab presenter Amr Adeeb, with Co-host Politician and journalist, Mohammed Mustafa Sherdy. The show has dedicated segments to stars like Raga'a el-Geddawi and Hala Fakher. The program efficiently covers all aspects of life in Egypt from politics, to arts, sports, cultural and economic issues, and even international affairs. It airs on Al Yawm channel which is part of Orbit Communications Company now known as the OSN. The Show currently broadcasts throughout the week, because of their new addition to the show Al Qahera Al-Youm Weekend that runs on Thursday and Friday, hosted by presenter shafky Al Monayery and celebrity actor Ezzat Abu Ouf.

Al Rojo Vivo is a Spanish language news program on the American television network Telemundo. It is shown daily from 5 to 6 P.M. EST. Anchors are Maria Celeste Arraras. The show replaced a similar news program called Ocurrio Asi in 2002 after Arraras left the Univision network after some laboral disputes. Arraras is substituted by Carmen Dominicci, Monica Noguera or Vanessa Hauc in special occasions. The show is similar to its competitor, Primer Impacto with it having some gossips segments between the current news and sports or weather sections.

"Al rojo vivo" is a program on laSexta focused on the analysis and debate of national and international political current affairs. The format is hosted and directed by Antonio García Ferreras and produced by the News Services of laSexta.

Alive in Baghdad is a weekly news video blog, or vlog, based in Baghdad, Iraq, distributed via website and RSS. They employ Iraqi journalists to produce videos covering various topics on daily life in Iraq following the Second Gulf War, including a piece on citizens trying to protect their neighborhood from insurgent death squads, another on what it is like to be an Iraqi Police officer, and interviews with car bomb survivors. The footage is shot by Iraqis and edited in the United States. Alive in Baghdad was founded in 2005 by Brian Conley, a 26-year-old American journalist and filmmaker. After a year of preparation, Conley went to Baghdad to equip and train a small team of Iraqis to produce a new short film every week on the subject of daily life in Iraq. The website has survived on donations from foundations and individuals. Staff in Iraq receive a small salary. US staff are not paid.

alt.news 26:46 is a student-run television program from the College of Mass Communication & Media Arts at Southern Illinois University Carbondale that airs on the University's PBS member station, WSIU. This half hour magazine-style TV program has won national acclaim by capturing twenty-two regional and national awards including five National Student Emmy awards. The "26:46" in the show's name reflect its general length per program—26 minutes, 46 seconds, with the remaining time in its half-hour slot used for WSIU's promos and messages.

Aló Ciudadano was a Venezuelan talk show hosted by Leopoldo Castillo. It aired both on the Globovisión 24-hour television news network and the Circuito Nacional Belfort radio network.

A short-lived change of format for the talk show "Tonight Starring Steve Allen". The co-hosts Steve Allen and Ernie Kovacs were dismissed, and the series changed into a news show. Jack Lescoulie and Al "Jazzbo" Collins served as the new hosts, while Hy Gardner conducted the interviews. The news show suffered from low ratings, and several NBC affiliates dropped the show. NBC then changed the format back into a talk show, under the title "Tonight Starring Jack Paar".
