A short but harrowing look at the horrors of war and how the smallest of errors can have tragic consequences as two British paratroopers land in Nazi-occupied Sicily (beautifully filmed in and around Victoria Gate in Valletta) in 1943.

On her wedding night, Jade wakes up holding the hand of her dead husband after she narrowly survived a murder attempt by the criminal family she fled from only weeks before. After pawning her wedding ring for a 357 Magnum she tries to kill a member of the family and botches the attempt. However, a Vietnam Veteran "The Hammer", comes to her aid and finishes the kill, saving her life. Over the next year, Hammer trains her to be a methodical assassin and on her wedding anniversary each member of the family will pay for their sins as she hunts them down with six bullets marked for revenge.

Inspired by award-winning artist Barbara Walker’s Turner Contemporary exhibition 'Place, Space and Who' exploring the lives of marginalised Black women in Margate, 0.5% looks at excerpts of the lives of Black people thriving and surviving in a community, and the fleeting but powerful connection between them. On a single day in Margate, the sheer existence of four strangers brings joy and comfort to a group of individuals living in the area, and their experiences interlink: Jide, an 81-year-old man who has called Kent home for the last sixty years. Falle, a young father and musician. Kanndiss, who practices self-care through movement. And lastly teenage Shianna, who wonders what lies beyond her small town.
